Gaza: About half a million Palestinians have been newly displaced in Gaza over the past month, according to the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).
The displacement comes after the Israeli military issued multiple forced evacuation orders, pushing people from their homes into smaller and more crowded areas.
UNRWA stated that less than one-third of Gaza is now available for Palestinians to live in. Even that remaining space is “fragmented, unsafe, and barely liveable,” as mentioned in their official statement on X.
The agency further described the condition of overcrowded shelters as terrible, with service providers struggling to operate under intense pressure.
UNRWA also warned that essential resources in these areas are running out fast, adding to the growing humanitarian crisis across the Gaza Strip.
